Ride

Ride consists of two climbable sculptures plus seats at Ryde Garden, North Ryde, Sydney, Australia. A permanent public artwork commissioned by Country Garden Australia and curated by Virginia Wilson.

Inspired by mediaeval jousting horses and fairground carousels, Ride is an installation of two ‘horses’ plus two pentagonal seats, positioned to encourage interactive and inventive play. The title of the work is a pun on the location name Ryde.
